One of the aspects I like the most about Czech pub culture is sharing tables with strangers, I find it fascinating. Once I got used to it, I started wondering why it is almost taboo in so many countries. Sharing a table with a stranger opens a world of possibilities, you try to figure out of what the person sitting next to you is, and the promise of something that will kick start a conversation is always there, floating in the air. And since all friendships start with a conversation, you are permanently in the lookout for that thing, which you don’t know what it is, but you know you’ll recognise it when, or if, happens.
